About the Role

Monks Paris is seeking a Senior Strategist to lead strategic thought on pitches, expected to anticipate, research, and identify client opportunities, provide future thinking, and a provocative POV whilst managing exciting and challenging day-to-day projects. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in leveraging creativity and effectiveness and developing campaigns that are well-funded and substantiated in facts, trends, and culture. We also highly appreciate if you’re a geek in sports/gaming/music/street culture.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior clients to understand their communication objectives and KPI’s in collaboration with account and project managers
  • Conduct research to source relevant information, inc. market analysis, competitor analysis, media analysis, audience analysis, KPI analysis, and digest findings into relevant and actionable strategic insight (with the help of comms/insight strategists)
  • Define the strategic direction of the communication campaign, translating insights and client needs into a strategic plan/ brief that meets the KPI’s and inspires creatives
  • Guide the implementation of the strategy, gather feedback from other teams and clients, and adapt the strategy where needed
  • Follow the execution and validate the strategy, making sure all necessary data is collected to create a strategic analysis of the project
  • Leverage Monks' capabilities in terms of média, data, tools
  • Manage junior strategists and establish a close partnership with the Client Lead and Creative Director on own accounts.

 

About You

The essentials:

  • Great people skills to work with cross-functional teams (Creatives, strategists, accounts, Producers, and back office)
  • You have 5-7 years in a digital transformation, production, consulting, and/or agency, and wish to join a company with high potential.
  • Great presentation skills and good creative writing skills for crafting inspiring briefs.
  • Organised, rigorous, and pragmatic
  • Positive, great listener, dynamic, and solution-oriented thinker
  • Competitive - you want to win, and you effectively solve obstacles in the way of your goals.
  • You have a passion for the social, digital, and innovation markets and are adept at following trends and speaking about their impact on companies and products.
  • Fluently written and spoken English is vital for communicating effectively with colleagues and clients alike. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
