What You’ll Work On
The Advanced Development Engineer is responsible for formulating, evaluating, and advancing research and development concepts, programs, and technical approaches that enable profitable growth and strategic technology differentiation.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering / related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Master’s Degree is preferred
Minimum 12 years of related work experience with a solid understanding of specified functional area
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field
15+ years of industry experience in R&D with deep focus on mechanical design of complex, multi‑discipline systems
5+ years as a Mechanical Technical Lead or Architect, guiding design direction and trade‑off decisions
Proven experience developing Class III medical devices, preferably implantable systems (e.g., neurostimulators, pacemakers, defibrillators)
Demonstrated experience with end‑to‑end medical innovation frameworks from need identification through concept development
Strong background in needs assessment, concept generation, mechanical architecture, and early risk reduction (DFMEA, prototyping, simulations)
Excellent written, verbal, and cross‑functional communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical stakeholders

The base pay for this position is
$113,300.00 – $226,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
