We are seeking a talented individual to join our Vendor Management team at Mercer. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Senior Specialist, Vendor Management is a key member of Mercer’s Vendor Management organization, responsible for performing governance-related activities in support of Mercer’s vendor management framework. This role involves analyzing vendor-related risks, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to manage and report on these risks through resolution, and reviewing vendor operating controls to assess compliance with contractual commitments. The role requires expert understanding of third-party contracting and risk management.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead the establishment and ongoing maturity and enforcement of Vendor Management’s governance model within Asia.

  • Ensure all vendor onboarding activity complies with company policies and procedures, educating Business Partners when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with the Vendor Management program throughout the vendor life cycle, collaborating with Business Partners to provide guidance and support.

  • Assess various third-party related risks and controls to appropriately report, monitor, and mitigate in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Monitor contractual agreements, collaborating with Business Partners to leverage strategic opportunities.

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date repository of all contracts and vendor details as the department expands into new regions and lines of business.

  • Communicate guidelines and deadlines clearly between internal partners and external resources.

  • Provide stakeholders with actionable insights based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making.

  • Manage tight deadlines and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What you need to have:

  • Expertise in Vendor Management governance methodologies and vendor onboarding policies and procedures.

  • Exposure to third-party related risks, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong senior stakeholder management skills.

  • 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Regional experience in Asia

  • Project management and contract management experience.

  • Knowledge of Information Security Standards, Generally Accepted Privacy Practices, and Generally Acceptable Audit Standards.
