The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake County, IL, location in the Corporate Human Resources division.

The Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition—Employer Branding & Recruitment Marketing, plays a key role in elevating Abbott’s talent brand and supporting recruiting efforts around the world. This role combines creative design expertise, digital asset management, and global platform administration to deliver consistent, high-quality employer brand content across channels. The Senior Specialist partners closely with Talent Acquisition, Communications, HR, and external vendors to ensure a seamless, engaging candidate experience.

What You’ll Work On

 

  • Support global job board, career site, and landing page activities, contributing to updates, content accuracy, optimization, and ongoing enhancements across Abbott.com and global Careers sites.
  • Contribute to Digital Asset Management platform operations, assisting with template updates, portal page improvements, user coordination, and content reviews to maintain employer brand consistency.
  • Develop digital and social content, including videos, imagery, and employee‑influencer materials that support recruiter advocacy and social media engagement.
  • Assist with CRM and email campaign execution, supporting talent community communications, workflow messaging, and candidate engagement campaigns, while providing monthly analytics and performance insights.
  • Design and produce employer brand creative using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Papirfly including event materials, digital ads, OOH assets, print collateral, and visuals supporting Talent Acquisition initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, HR, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, digital marketing, or creative design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Experience managing digital platforms such as content management systems, job boards, or brand portals.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Papirfly or similar content‑creation tools.
  • Familiarity with global employer branding and localization considerations.
  • Understanding of recruitment processes and candidate lifecycle.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into recommendations.
  • Strong writing and editing skills and knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to individuals of varying levels.
  • High proficiency with personal computers and corresponding software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, Adobe Illustrator), content management systems, social media channels, video editing, and analytics.
  • Strong storytelling ability with experience translating an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) into compelling narratives, visual assets, and content that highlight the employee experience and bring the employer brand to life across digital, social, and recruitment marketing channels.

The base pay for this position is

$78,000.00 – $156,000.00
