Senior Specialist, Supply & Inventory Planning

Basic Function

This is an entry-level role designed for individuals who are interested in starting their career in Supply& Inventory Planning.

The Specialist, Supply & Demand Planning will support supply and inventory planning activities, assisting the team in monitoring stock levels, managing data, and collaborating with cross-functional partners such as Demand Planners, Sales & Marketing, and Distribution Centers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn key supply chain processes, contribute to business goals, and grow your skills in a supportive environment.

No prior experience is required. but a strong interest in supply chain and logistics is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of inventory levels at distribution centers to align with operational KPIs, financial targets and stocking strategies to support business goals.
  • Place and manage purchase orders and master data to allow high quality and reliable data available for planning and business/operational decision making.
  • Help analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies.
  • Prevent potential inventory excess and shortage as well as back orders with cross functional partners to contribute to operating income.
  • Monitor inventory level vs business targets and follow up corrective and mitigation actions with Demand Planners to ensure target achievements as well as service level.

Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred

  • Keen interest in supply chain management and logistics.
  • Business level both English and Japanese (spoken, written and reading)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Database knowledge is preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
