Why this role is important?
Shoppers Drug Mart Specialty Health Network supports our retail stores to provide the best patient care to patients who require specialty drugs. We provide patient support programs for specialty drug therapies, providing physicians with resources to manage their patients, facilitating reimbursement, and enhancing patient compliance. We deliver superior customer service to patients, healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve healthcare outcomes for all stakeholders.
Reporting to the Director, Specialty Practice Excellence, you will be responsible for enhancing specialty support processes for Associates caring for patients in their communities. Furthermore, you will contribute in project and program management support to retail operations initiatives pertaining to specialty dispensing.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, operationalize, and drive specialty initiatives that increase awareness, adoption, and growth of specialty services within retail pharmacies
Support initiatives to optimize processes and SOPs, contributing to overall operational excellence in specialty
Develop clear, compelling, and visually engaging communications and training materials for diverse audiences, effectively translating complex information.
Execute specialty communications across the retail network, including managing relevant sections of the enterprise communications.
Provide support for specialty drug access and inventory management across the network.
Conduct in-depth analysis of specialty processes and build new tools
Works cross-functionally with various departments across the organization to develop new processes to serve specialty patients in the retail network
What You Will Need:
Experience in program management, operational excellence, process improvement, or a similar role within a retail pharmacy, healthcare, or specialty drugs environment.
Proven experience in working on enterprise change initiatives within cross-functional organizations.
Ability to prioritize work assignments and adapt to change
Experience working in a fast-paced environment where high attention to detail and accuracy is essential
Ability to work and maneuver quickly and consistently for extended periods of time
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools.
