Major Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced BioPharma Specialist to join our team at this exciting time as we continue to promote our existing successful brands and new products in the Hematology area.

  • Be proactive and assertive in managing customers and territory and delivering messages.
  • Achieve competitively sales performance, while balancing sales and expense control targets.
  • Provides a well-thought resources allocation plan and executes according to the plan.
  • Delivers added value services to customers with a source of competitive advantage and a desire to win in the marketplace.
  • Analyzes district and territory sales performance data and identifies areas for improvement through superior implementation of company’s Sales Force Effectiveness programs, understands and effectively implements sales programs and plans.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationship with marketing staff and colleagues to enhance business performance through collaboration.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with medical leaders.
  • Analyzes changing customers’ needs and market trends, understands how they affect the current and future business, and responds proactively to secure long term business performance, presenting the business plan of their territory and the required action plans.
  • Understands of and operates in strict compliance with BMS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Makes suggestions to DSM and Marketing team to ensure that customers’ needs and opportunities are quickly and successfully incorporated into enterprise, business unit and product strategies.
  • Executes marketing program per plan and ensures timely communication to DSM and marketing team on the status of the program and achievement of the objectives gathering competitive intelligence and sharing it with appropriate internal and external sources.
  • Aligns with corporate HR strategy and key principles and ensures to create positive impact and reinforce the company culture.

Desired Experience & Knowledge

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in general hospital sales preferably in Hematology leveraging existing relationships with key opinion leaders through trust and recognition. In addition:

  • Experience with new product launch is preferred.
  • Demonstrable previous outstanding sales performance and consistent success in territory management with strong selling skills
  • Demonstrates ability to deliver academic knowledge and messages to customers and set a business plan with a given resource.
  • Proven continuous development regarding sales competency and BMS Behavior, and the ability to make tough decisions.
  • Establishes and achieves stretched objectives.
  • Demonstrates success in change management and overcomes challenging situations
  • Participates in the development of successful action plan and strategy.
  • Proactively shares one’s own best practice with team members with a focus on enhancing team spirit.

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
