Role Summary:The Senior Specialist, Skilled Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, overseeing repair projects, managing work orders, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers to maintain quality and compliance with regulations. The position also includes supervising and developing associates, supporting operational goals, and promoting continuous improvement to meet business needs effectively while upholding company standards and values.
About the Team:Our team comprises skilled technicians organized into specialized groups, including two focused on low voltage cabling installations for remodel and new construction projects. They ensure compliance with local codes while delivering precise and efficient work. Collaborating closely, the team supports the development, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications systems, such as structured cabling and network hardware. Their dedication to quality and adherence to standards guarantees reliable telecommunications infrastructure across all projects, contributing to the overall safety and functionality of facilities.
What you'll do: - Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities equipment and fixtures.
- Inspect, clean, and repair equipment, documenting wear and recommending repairs or replacements.
- Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Oversee junior associates, assign duties, and provide onsite training to enhance skills and ensure quality work.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and EPA regulations while maintaining accurate records and budget information.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders to support operational goals.
What you'll bring: - Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities equipment, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- Strong ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Skilled in managing maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor coordination to ensure operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising, training, and mentoring associates to achieve quality and safety standards.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers.
Minimum Qualifications: - Vocational or Technical certification and 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or
related trade or 9 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade. - Valid Driver's License.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- 2 years’ experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $45.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
