Role Overview  

Coupang Taiwan Corporate Communications is seeking a SEO & Social Media to assist our digital visibility, social reputation, and crisis response initiatives. This role ensures that Coupang’s brand and messages are accurately represented and easily discoverable across Google and major platforms, as well as prominently surfaced in AI-generated summaries (e.g., Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT). The ideal candidate will combine technical SEO mastery, social media crisis management expertise, and narrative formation skills to reshape online conversations, combat misinformation, and drive positive sentiment. The ideal candidate will also manage Coupang Taiwan’s YouTube channel, coordinate internal teams and external agencies, and deliver measurable outcomes on reputation, rankings, and reach.

What You Will Do 

  • SEO & Search Visibility
    • Lead search visibility and sentiment audits across Google, YouTube, and priority social/AI platforms; identify quick wins for top keywords.
    • Own on-page/off-page SEO: keyword strategy, metadata, schema/structured data, internal linking, backlink programs; partner with web and IT teams and external agencies for technical implementation.
    • Develop LLM optimization tactics to influence AI-generated summaries (Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT), including structured content strategies and authoritative sourcing.
    • Localize and optimize content from Coupang Taiwan newsroom; brief and manage content production to ensure search-readiness and brand-safe accuracy.
    • Launch and optimize SEM campaigns to supplement organic visibility; build dashboards and reporting for executive visibility.
  • Social Media Crisis Management & Sentiment Shaping
    • Act as primary lead for social media response: monitor emerging issues, assess risk, and execute rapid-response strategies across platforms.
    • Reshape online narratives through strategic storytelling and proactive campaigns to combat negative discussions and drive positive sentiment.
    • Manage Coupang Taiwan’s YouTube channel: programming strategy, editorial calendar, SEO optimization, analytics, and creator collaborations.
    • Monitor and engage on social discussion platforms in Taiwan, APAC and global; develop playbooks for issue escalation and response SLAs.
    • Build and maintain a toolkit (FAQs, templates, workflows) for brand safety and rapid deployment.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Agency Management
    • Partner with GR, Legal & Compliance, EHS, INFOSEC, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations to ensure aligned messaging and compliant engagement.
    • Manage external SEO/SEM/social sentiment agencies: scopes, KPIs, budgets, and performance reviews.
    • Support event amplification with digital pre/post strategies; handle related administrative and logistics tasks.
  • Measurement & Reporting
    • Define KPI frameworks: search rankings, LLM summary accuracy, sentiment score, share of positive voice, YouTube performance, SEM ROI.
    • Deliver executive-ready dashboards and insights; propose continuous improvement roadmaps.

Basic Qualifications  

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in multinational companies, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or related sectors, spanning SEO/SEM, social media, and crisis management.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) with proven ability to write/edit for both audiences.
  • Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees preferred in Journalism, Communications, PR, Marketing, or related fields (SEO/social & digital media).
  • Expertise in social media crisis management, narrative formation, and industry issue awareness.
  • Technical SEO proficiency: site audits, schema/structured data, metadata, internal linking, backlink strategies, crawl/indexation hygiene.
  • Deep expertise in Taiwan’s social platforms and strong familiarity with APAC/global social channels; hands-on YouTube SEO and channel operations.
  • Strong agency/vendor management and cross-functional alignment skills.
