Senior Specialist, Product Management - Data Analytics
Overview
The Payment Reconciliation Intelligence (PRI) team is seeking a Senior Specialist, Data Scientist to support product development initiatives. This role will partner closely with the Product Manager and engineering teams to drive data analysis, define user stories, and contribute to end-to-end product delivery.
The ideal candidate is passionate about customer experience, highly analytical, intellectually curious, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Senior Specialist, Data Scientist, you will:
• Partner with the Product Manager to collect and analyze product data, identify trends, and track product defects
• Support the development of product roadmaps, user stories, project status updates, and risk management reports
• Build MVP-level reports and insights, and collaborate with engineering teams to productionize solutions
• Monitor and evaluate product performance across development stages; actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Analyze product data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for new features or product enhancements
• Track and report key performance metrics related to product success
• Contribute to defining and delivering product roadmaps, including identifying white space opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development
• Experience gathering and interpreting qualitative product data and customer feedback
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess industry trends and competitor behavior
• Proven ability to identify product improvements and contribute to product and marketing strategies
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
Technical Skills:
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL (e.g., Oracle, Hive, Impala, Spark)
• Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Oracle) for data extraction and analysis
• Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, Power BI/PowerPivot)
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS) is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and SaaS products (nice to have)
• Basic understanding of APIs, data flows, and system architecture
