Senior Specialist Procurement

To be based in Oss (The Netherlands) or Heist-op-den-Berg (Belgium)

The position

We are seeking a dynamic and energized Senior Specialist Indirect Procurement to join our team at our manufacturing sites in Oss and/or Heist op den Berg. This role is crucial to supporting procurement categories such as facilities, MRO, and other relevant site services associated with pharmaceutical and biologics production. You will be instrumental in ensuring our procurement strategies align with our mission to deliver high-impact products.

The Organon Global Procurement & Supplier Management (GPSM) Organization partners with the business to develop and execute direct and indirect sourcing strategies, enabled by agile business processes and strong supplier performance management, to drive improved business outcomes. Our teams in Oss & Heist consist of 4 people in Oss & 3 people in Heist op den Berg and is ready to grow. The position requires frequent travel between the 2 manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies.
• Manage procurement activities for facilities, MRO, and site services and oversee sourcing and contracting requirements.
• Collaborate with diverse teams local & global to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with (senior) stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
• Identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and deliver solutions independently.

Required Education, Experience and Skills 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Procurement within a highly regulated industry.
• Ability to prioritize and collaborate in a dynamic environment.
• Strategic vision and business acumen.
• Influencing and collaboration skills.
• Innovative problem-solving and project management skills.
• Dutch and English language proficiency.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• ERP experience (SAP, Ariba; Coupa).
• Experience with senior stakeholders and pharmaceutical/ biologics industry.
