Your role at Baxter
As a Senior Specialist, Order Management, you’ll become the primary point of contact for your assigned North American sales regions, coordinating complex, high‑value medical equipment orders that directly support patient care. You’ll partner closely with sales, distribution, manufacturing, and customers to ensure every order—from product evaluations to multi‑truck hospital bed deliveries—is executed accurately, efficiently, and with exceptional service. You’ll join a highly experienced, tight‑knit team in Batesville, who take pride in their work and support one another. This position is based in Batesville, IN and follows a hybrid schedule, with on‑site presence required several days per week—especially during onboarding.
What you’ll be doing
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned sales regions, managing the full evaluation‑to‑order process for high‑value medical equipment.
Coordinate large, complex orders (often $10K–$1M+), including multi‑truck deliveries, distribution scheduling, and customer timelines.
Partner closely with sales representatives to understand customer needs and ensure accurate, timely order placement.
Manage product evaluations, including equipment transfers, logistics coordination, and tracking associated costs.
Maintain accurate install‑base records to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
Review contracts and purchase orders for accuracy and compliance with revenue recognition and SOX standards.
Monitor orders through fulfillment, resolve post‑delivery issues, and audit high‑value orders to prevent costly errors.
Foster strong relationships with customers and internal partners while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
What you’ll bring
Experience in order management, customer service, logistics coordination, or a related field in a fast‑paced, detail‑heavy environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting timelines.
A problem‑solver’s mindset with the ability to think creatively, troubleshoot issues, and adapt quickly.
Confidence communicating with a wide range of personalities, including the ability to respectfully push back when needed.
Comfort working under pressure while maintaining accuracy on large, complex orders.
A customer‑focused approach with strong relationship‑building skills and a commitment to excellent service.
Ability to learn systems quickly; experience with JDE, Salesforce, or similar tools is helpful but not required.
A positive, team‑oriented attitude with reliability, professionalism, and openness to feedback and continuous improvement.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $56,000 - $77,000. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
