Your Opportunity
The Senior Specialist, National Assurance supports the development and maintenance of national technical guidance, training materials, and practice tools to enable local offices to conduct engagements efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with professional standards, and Firm requirements.
This is a new role that focuses on technical research, drafting, coordination of methodology updates, and supporting quality management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Assurance Methodology & Practice Tools
Assist in updating and maintaining:
Assurance, review, and compilation tools
Firm manuals and guidance documents
Templates and practice aids
Draft updates to methodology sections based on new or revised standards.
Review global methodology updates and summarize Canadian impacts.
Perform testing of template updates and document results.
Quality Management Support
Support quality management processes as they relate to engagement performance and methodology.
Assist in documenting quality risks and related responses within assigned areas.
Training & Knowledge Support
Assist in preparing and updating assurance training materials.
Support the delivery of training sessions
Update content to reflect changes in standards and Firm methodology.

Your experience and education
You have completed your CPA designation
Minimum 3-4 years in a public accounting firm
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Possess a basic understanding of other standards, policies and procedures that interact with assurance, including quality management standards, accounting, risk management, independence, tax, etc.
The expected range of compensation for this role is $72000 $ - 96,000 $ annually
