The Position
The Contract Operations Sr. Specialist – US Market Access Contract Operations is responsible for overseeing the execution of complex Purchase-Based agreements that support the company’s pharmaceutical sales and market access strategies. This role partners closely with Sales, Pricing, Market Access, Government Pricing, Finance, Legal, Audit, and Compliance to ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The position plays a critical role in revenue protection, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A background in market access, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals is preferred. This role provides the opportunity to enter the Market Access function at Organon and engage with multiple stakeholders to learn foundational knowledge that would support development into other areas of Market Access & Account Management.
Responsibilities
Contract Management, Compliance & Risk Management, and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of Purchase-Based contracts through formal contract reviews, contract administration and system execution, ongoing pricing and membership maintenance, and management of amendments and renewals.
Ensure contract terms align with approved pricing strategies, rebate structures, and government pricing, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Interpret and apply contract terms related to pricing, chargebacks, rebates, fees, performance metrics, and service levels.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert on feasibility of implementation of contract terms, policies, and strategies in cross-functional conversations with Sales, Market Access, Finance, Pricing, Government Pricing, Legal, Audit, and Compliance representatives.
Perform risk assessments, report outcomes, and provide mitigation strategies.
Monitor contract performance and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Audit contract eligibility, contract pricing, payments, and performance-based metrics to ensure customer and contract data integrity across multiple systems.
Perform customer and price validations.
Provide audit support related to Purchase-Based contracting, pricing, and customer eligibility.
Support new product launches through contract strategy implementation.
Provide guidance to, and oversight of third-party vendors.
Resolve pricing issues, disputes, chargeback discrepancies, and payment issues.
Support external reporting through critical control activities and analyses.

Improve contract workflows, internal processes, and standard agreement templates to optimize team and organizational performance.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
BA or BS in business administration, healthcare management, finance, or a related field is required
Three years of experience in market access, contract management, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or a related industry.
Experience in managing complex contracts and working with cross-functional teams is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Tenacity to resolve complex customer issues relating to contract pricing and eligibility.
In-depth knowledge related to pharmaceutical contracting, legal and regulatory contract requirements, contract compliance, customer types, pricing, rebates, chargebacks, and distribution models.
Experience navigating and clearly communicating complex contract language and strategies.
Advanced proficiency in contract management systems, document repositories, MS Excel, and reporting tools.
Experience working successfully across cross-functional teams is essential.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience supporting payer, PBM, Specialty Pharmacy, or government channel contracts.
Experience with pricing and reimbursement, Medicare, Medicaid, and government pricing implications.
Broad understanding of US Health Care and product contracting environment.

Annualized Salary Range (US)
