Responsibilities:

  • Support and drive the preparation of pricing strategies (in cooperation with Market Access Lead, the Business Unit and Medical Department)

  • Gain and maintain product listing status (price, competitive status)

  • Collaboration and coordination with headquarters and regional market access, global pricing and health outcomes groups

  • Assessing hospital needs in order to facilitate access in hospitals according to business needs (in close cooperation with Key Account Managers)

  • Manage all activities related to the Austrian reimbursement code (Erstattungskodex, EKO), including preparation and coordination of EKO listing submissions and cross-functional input for the evaluations by HEK / Dachverband

  • Develop economic and quality-of-life models for innovative pharmaceutical products to national payers and other stakeholders

  • Is responsible for any legal notifications (index of goods and contract management)

  •  Develop risk-sharing programs for new drugs and pro-actively offer these programs to potential payors (pharmaecomonic studies, HTA) and access decision makers (hospitals & social insurances)

  • Closely liaise with the marketing organization for market access topics

  • Identify key stakeholders in the market and establishes relationship with key influencers and decision makers to facilitate broader and deeper market access

  • Identify and foster trust -based working relationships with key national payer stakeholders to facilitate bringing new medicines consistently and efficiently to market

  • Develop and support tailored pricing models based on brand and therapeutic area according to business needs

  • Responsibility for calculations due to our existing or new pricing models and acts proactively as an extended arm to our strategic account mangers

  • Stay on-top and ensure timely awareness of any important policy in terms of pricing, reimbursement and healthcare

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the overall Austrian healthcare system, the Austrian reimbursement system (EKO) and the role of the individual customer, customer segment and stakeholder in the healthcare environment

  • Have knowledge about diseases and products, resources available especially related to product responsibilities

  • Foster contacts with local industry associations (Pharmig, FOPI)

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or health economics, economics, or pharmacology (higher degree e.g. PhD is an asset)

  • Networking and having relationship with government (payer) business, customer facing with multi-layer experiences, tailored commercial activities

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry (market access, medical positions, marketing or finance)

  • Demonstrated ability to understand medical scientific & outcomes data and is capable to transfer this in economic and medical context

  • Comprehensive skills in strategic and operational pricing and the related methodologies

  • Very good understanding of healthcare environment, market and business context; demonstrated skills in marketing analyses (segmentation, targeting, positioning, competitive analyses, etc.

  • Above average MS Excel skills and data analytic skills

  • Experienced in Office365 and MS Teams

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills: able to create executive-ready, story-driven slide decks (incl. clear data visualization, clean charting)

  • Hands-on experience using AI-Tools to draft, summarize and structure complex content (e.g., payer decks, value stories, meeting outputs) while keeping full ownership of the final deliverable

  • Commitment to continuous GenAI upskilling (prompting, Responsible AI, and basic AI agents) via internal learning opportunities

  • Able to use GenAI to accelerate analysis work (e.g., first-draft synthesis, scenario framing, structured summaries) without compromising quality control and critical thinking

The minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 74.600,-- and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
