AT&T has an opening for a Security Specialist: To support the Government Security organization.

This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

The job duties of the Sr. Specialist, Government Security are as follows:                                                                                                        

  • Performs a variety of physical and personnel security associated tasks in functional areas including, but not limited to, security clearance processing, badge requests, visit certifications, escorting, alarm, access control, and CCTV support.
  • Prepares documents, spreadsheets, reports and presentations.  
  • Administers the corporate security policies, procedures and programs across the contract.
  • Creates and/or maintains appropriate logs, databases, inventories, filing (hard or softcopy), status reports/tracking.
  • Provides support for research or data analysis tasks.
  • Provides support for visitor control, employee identification and safeguarding of company facilities, equipment, materials and employee property.   
  • Manage oversight and provide guidance on government security practices and procedures to ensure the secure handling, storage, and dissemination of government classified information in accordance with, regulatory requirements and government mandates, policy, and industry standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Regulatory Compliance and Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with government and company security regulations by overseeing security best practices, reviewing business procedures, and preparing for regular government security inspections. This includes managing classified information, accredited government classified systems, personal security clearances, and personnel vetting for those supporting government contracts.
     

Access Control and Document Management:

  • Manage classified document control and access control systems to protect and maintain government classified and company proprietary materials.

Security Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop, implement, and update security policies for new programs, technologies, and facilities.


Training and Awareness:

  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs on security issues and develop comprehensive security training materials.

Incident Response and External Collaboration:

  • Investigate security infractions, recommend corrective actions, and manage incident response plans for security breaches. Interact with federal agencies, classified customers, and subcontractors regarding government security policies.

Job Contribution:

  • An experienced professional with in-depth knowledge, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems.
  • Works with independent judgement on expansive projects with minimal supervision, implementing policy changes to improve functions.
  • Actions impact efficiency costs, schedules and client relationships.
  • Interacts primarily within the department and with General Managers and above across various teams.
     

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 2+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
 

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications: Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 2+ years of related experience. Must be a US Citizen and Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Desired Qualifications: Successful FSO training through the CDSE or comparable USG personnel/physical security professional training. Experience in NBIS and DISS.

Our Senior Specialist Gov Security (CSSO I) (Government) earns between $57,200 - $85,000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
