Purpose of the role

Senior Logistics Specialist reports into the and supports Global Freight Forwarder Management and Performance Reporting, Supply Chain Analytics, Transport Management System Implementations and Improvements, Digital Logistics Applications and various Logistics Projects globally.

He/She works on global/ multi-regional projects in all areas related to Transportation, Logistics and BT Systems. This person acts as the project manager for the Freight Audit Automation project globally and a key contact for the Global Freight Forwarders for their performance management.

As a Senior Logistics Specialist, you will join the Global Logistics Services Team, a dynamic environment where collaboration and innovation thrive. Reporting directly to the Global Transportation and Digitalization Lead. Your contributions will be vital in shaping global logistics strategy and delivering various projects at the global scale. You'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of projects and initiatives, supporting the team and enhancing your own professional growth.

Main responsibilities

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional external and internal stakeholders including service providers, operations, IT, planning, and procurement to understand and document key requirements and business processes to deliver optimal solutions
  • Collaborate with Regional or Local Logistics resources to identify synergies, work in common project goals and/or improvement solutions.
  • Key point of contact for the global freight forwarders for the operational escalations/ improvements, performance reporting, and collaboration projects.
  • Drive weekly calls with global freight forwarders to tackle ongoing business topics.
  • Create visibility on global shipments and global freight forwarders key performance indicators through tools such as Power BI, SAP and Excel.
  • Act as Freight Audit Automation project manager supporting on all the phases of the project: the global project scope definition, stakeholders’ management, risk management, project implementation and progress tracking.
  • Collaborate with project teams to support the key global projects such as disentanglement, Aurora, among others.
  • Support Transport Management System Improvements
  • Support as a backup for Transportation Management System in day-to-day troubleshooting and system support

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is a must.
  • Solid background in supply chain management with extensive experience in logistics functions.
  • Excellent data management capabilities and PowerBI skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
  • General understanding of Transport Management Systems.
  • Detail-oriented, stress-resistant, and proactive in taking ownership.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all organizational levels.
