Senior Specialist - Financial Planning & Analysis

The Role
Nasdaq is looking for a Financial Planning Senior Specialist to join the Capital Access Platforms Data team within the growing business unit in Vilnius. The FP&A role drives the planning processes for the unit including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, monthly actuals, headcount management, reporting and analytics. This position is a key member of the Business Control team which works very closely with the business unit leadership on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our business leads by providing insightful financial analysis and contributing to budget-setting and forecasting processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with various departments and make a significant impact on our financial strategies.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with business leads to inform budget-setting and ongoing forecasts for headcount plans and operational expenses, aligned with the company's revenue goals.
  • Participate in meetings with business leads to gather insights and provide financial guidance.
  • Record accurate transactions during month-end close procedures.
  • Provide variance commentary between actuals and forecasts, identifying key drivers and trends.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What we expect

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of financial planning business processes and budgeting
  • High proficiency in utilizing Workday, OneStream, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with large sets of data to spot trends and anomalies, understand the details while being able to tell the big picture story.
  • Keen attention to details and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines; have an ability to remain calm under pressure and in the face of uncertainty.
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
