Why this role matters
The Salvation Army (Salvos) provides a wide range of services that support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.
About the role
As a Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, this is your opportunity to deliver assessments, individual support, and group programs for men who use family violence while maintaining high-quality documentation and practice standards. A core focus of the role is ensuring the safety of women and children through ongoing risk assessment and coordinated interventions.
The Salvation Army Inner Gippsland Family Violence Integrated Men’s Services (IMS) provides support and intervention to men who have perpetrated family violence. Our response upholds the principle’s found within our Family Violence Model of Care. We offer an integrated service response that includes intake and assessment, case management, Men’s Behaviour Change group work as well as offer support to impacted family members.
Reporting to the Integrated Men's Services Team Leader, this is a permanent, full time position, located in Leongatha, VIC.
Conditions
Salary and compensation are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 6.
