Overview
Mastercard Prepaid Management Services (MPMS) delivers end-to-end prepaid card solutions across multi-currency travel money solution, corporate per diem, expenses, compensation solutions, Gift cards segments. MPMS operates a scalable, modular platform that supports a global portfolio of prepaid programs, combining innovation with operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
• Drive all phases of the research, strategy, and design process—from framing the problem and defining the design target to envisioning the future state experience and validating concepts.
• Develop and execute research approaches using a range of qualitative and quantitative methods, critically evaluating processes and applying statistical analysis where appropriate.
• Conduct generative and evaluative research, including drafting screeners, discussion guides, and surveys; moderate in-person and remote sessions; and collaborate with third-party vendors when needed.
• Apply critical thinking to synthesize findings, identify patterns and themes, and translate them into compelling insights and implications for product teams.
• Natural problem solver with the ability to find simple solutions to complex problems.
• Providing UX expertise to our key verticals i.e Consumer Travel, Corporate, Gift solutions.
• Empathise with B2B2C, B2B customers problems and leverage user research to capture and understand real-world user needs
• Participating in regular design critiques with the team
• Participate in the broader Mastercard design thinking workshops, sessions
• Work closely with cross functional teams (Product, Marketing, Engineering)
• Guide research planning across teams, helping shape roadmaps and priorities based on user and business impact.
• Collaborate on experimentation frameworks (e.g., A/B testing, usability testing, cohort analysis) and integrate UX research with data analytics to inform product and business decisions.
• Ensure ethical research practices and data privacy standards are upheld across all initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of research best practices and mentor team members.
All About You:
• Advance experience in User Experience Design preferably in a product-led or digital environment.
• Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g. usability testing, interviews, surveys) and experience conducting or supporting A/B tests and experimental design.
• Proficiency in any analytics tools such is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and research findings into clear, compelling narratives using strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking methodologies and experience applying them in cross-functional product teams.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and align research with business and customer needs.
• Strong working of mobile apps, website design with best practice application including accessibility
• Experience of working with Designers, Product Managers, Developers, Subject Matter Experts, and Business Analyst
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and presenting to senior leadership.
• Proven experience delivering a high standard of output in fast paced enterprise organizations.
• Comfort balancing short-term delivery with long-term research planning.
• Passion for understanding user behavior and turning insight into measurable outcomes.
• Advanced skills in tools such as Figma, Sketch
• Experienced in PowerPoint presentation tool – comfortable building design content and presentation stories.
• Curious and self-motivated; acts with a sense of urgency and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Global mindset – ability to be an effective & empathetic partner across regions/cultures.
• Select and conduct appropriate user-centered design techniques throughout an iterative design process
• Participate in design research activities
• Implement design decisions on initiatives, heavily influenced by research findings
• Leverage design best practices and patterns and create solutions in a fast paced working environment.
• Produce, test, and iterate on experience artifacts, including user flows, interaction models, prototypes, wireframes, low/high fidelity sketches, and design specifications
• Study and adopt the design system to deliver digital product fully aligned with Mastercard’s design standards
Education:
• Bachelor/ Masters degree.
• Specialized experience in User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Usability, or Information Design strongly preferred
Desired Qualification:
• Product design, research experience in the payment, banking, or FinTech domains
