Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and high-performing individual to join our Software Engineering team. Technologies across the platform are diverse with primarily in-house built applications such as Glue, PowerCenter/IDMC, and .NET.

The successful incumbent will have strong technical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. As a member of the team that supports Distributed and AWS Cloud based applications, responsibilities include technical leadership, application support, responding to service requests, debugging and problem solving, security reviews, maintaining stability, requirements analysis, performance and tuning, application development and unit testing, writing technical specifications, as well as participation in transitions to support and design reviews. The desirable candidate will show initiative, be accepting responsibility and be accountable for results.  Our team is diverse and inclusive and values the variety of background and experience in all aspects of the role.

What will you do/Key responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on operational support, renewals, enhancements, compliance and security initiatives for corporate applications
  • Guide and coach team members on development, solution, code fixes, and release planning
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, SMEs and Business Analysts to deliver high quality solutions, resolve complex issues, and maintain a stable, high performing application environment
  • Conduct Code Reviews, enforce best coding practices, and optimize performance
  • Analyze and remediate security findings and vulnerabilities identified through code reviews, automated scans, and penetration testing, ensuring secure coding practices and compliance with organizational standards
  • Design and maintain disaster recovery plans ensuring system resilience, data integrity, and minimal downtime during critical incidents or infrastructure failures
  • Rotate support duties and contribute to knowledge management for team self-sufficiency.. 
  • Design, develop, code, test, and debug applications for various enhancements and projects. 
  • This role includes on-call and after hours support on a team rotation basis. 

Key Qualifications and experience:

  • B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA or equivalent qualification.
  • 8-12 years of progressive Information Technology experience including full software development life cycle and systems integration
  • 5+ years in full stack development
  • 3+ years supporting REST APIs and API Platforms
  • Experience working Linux/Unix, AWS Cloud, and Windows environments
  • Proven leadership in coaching and mentoring
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies
  • AWS and ITIL Certifications are a plus
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, including conceptual, requirements interpretation, solution creation and problem-solving abilities. 

Competencies (Technical)

  • Extensive hands-on experience with .NET, SSIS, Web services, ASP.NET, SharePoint, WCF, MVC, and Java (Spring Boot, JPA, RESTful APIs)
  • Strong expertise in API design, development, and integration
  • Proficient in SQL Scripting and stored procedures (Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Skilled in Front-end technologies: jQuery, JavaScript, React JS, Node.js, Angular JS
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud for deployment, monitoring and scaling
  • Experience integrating DevOps practices within the SDLC to improve delivery efficiency
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, SAML, Single Sign-On
  • Expertise in ETL tools: Informatica PowerCenter, IDMC
  • Experience and data visualization and BI Tools: Tableau, Business Objects
  • Strong understanding of SFTP network protocols and job schedulers (Autosys, Zeke/JCL)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, SAML, and SSO
  • Knowledge of application security best practices and OWASPS standards
  • DevOps tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CDD, Ansible) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) best practices
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices  
  • Understanding of Agile Methodologies with a working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Prior experience/exposure to Solution design, Architecture, and design patterns
  • Analyze and remediate security findings and vulnerabilities identified through code reviews, automated scans, and penetration testing, ensuring secure coding practices and compliance with organizational standards
  • Experience with system renewal, stability, upgrade, and Disaster Recovery projects
  • Experience with Automated testing tools, Code Coverage, Regression testing, Performance/Load testing etc.

Competencies - Preferred Skills

  • Experience/Exposure to Salesforce Fusion, Risk Management, Operational Resilience, BCM-DR will be an added advantage
  • Experience with scheduling tools (Zeke, Autosys)
  • Understanding file transfer process and options (SFTP)  
  • Experience in creating technical documentation such as data mappings to reflect lineage and data flows.
