The Senior Specialist, Business Development plays a critical role in supporting US Consumer Services Commercial Development efforts and advancing strategic sales initiatives by driving commercial deals from intake through execution and launch. This role serves as the operational engine behind complex commercial opportunities—ensuring deals to move efficiently through internal processes, cross functional approvals, and external partner onboarding.
Partnering closely with Sales, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, and external stakeholders, the Commercial Development Project Manager acts as the central point of coordination to align teams, manage dependencies, surface risks, and keep initiatives on track. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and an effective communicator who can confidently hold stakeholders accountable while maintaining strong working relationships.
Role Responsibilities
Deal & Initiative Execution
Manage complex commercial deals, integrations, and onboarding efforts from initial intake through execution and launch
Translate sales initiatives and deal requirements into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables
Ensure all required approvals, documentation, and operational steps are completed accurately and on schedule
Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as the central point of contact across Sales, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, and external partners
Facilitate alignment across stakeholders with clear communication, regular updates, and structured working sessions
Track interdependencies across workstreams and proactively resolve bottlenecks
Process Adherence & Optimization
Follow and reinforce established commercial, legal, and operational processes
Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement
Ensure deals meet internal standards, compliance requirements, and operational readiness criteria
Risk & Issue Management
Proactively identify risks, delays, or resource constraints that could impact deal execution
Escalate issues with recommended solutions and drive decisions to resolution
Maintain accurate documentation and status reporting throughout the lifecycle of initiatives
Stakeholder Accountability & Communication
Hold internal teams and partners accountable to timelines and commitments
Provide clear, concise updates to Sales and leadership on deal status, risks, and next steps
Build trusted relationships that balance collaboration with execution discipline
Role Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2 plus years of client relationship management, 2 plus years’ experience sales and/or marketing.
Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of sales cycles, deal execution, and cross-functional workflows
Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Technology, or Operations teams preferred
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Proactive self-starter who anticipates needs and takes ownership
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Comfortable influencing without authority and holding stakeholders accountable
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Adept at building trust and maintaining productive cross-functional relationships

Salary
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to 110,000 USD per year. Total on-target compensation includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
