Job Description
The Senior Sourcing Analyst is assigned to designated indirect commodities (e.g., products and/or services) and works closely with Commodity Managers who are responsible for sourcing and negotiating contracts. The Senior Sourcing Analyst assists with small to medium scale projects under the direction of an Associate Director of Sourcing and assists with large sourcing projects. This position manages key components of public bidding events, and post-negotiation, assures critical steps are taken for contract implementation. Senior Sourcing Analyst may execute contract renewals and extensions, and renegotiate delivery, discounts, payment terms and/or freight terms on existing contracts. The Senior Sourcing Analyst is also responsible for monitoring data to identify opportunities for cost savings, standardization or process improvements. The position serves as a resource for the buyer team when special requests, item updates and/or supplier issues are escalated for a Sourcing decision.
This role focuses on contract continuity and supplier management. The Senior Sourcing Analyst reviews contracts, screens and onboards suppliers, and ensures critical product or service data is entered into relevant systems. The position acts as the primary contact for suppliers.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or other analytical discipline with at least 4 years’ of sourcing experience, or procurement in general and IT commodities.
