How you will make an impact:

  • Partner with Recruiters, HRBPs and Country TA/HR leaders to create relevant, compelling, personalized and high-touch candidate experiences that align with Edwards Lifesciences values and mission. Effectively represent and market the Edwards Lifesciences brand, the organizations business objectives, and career opportunities to potential prospects
  • Leverage consultative approach and collaboration with Recruiters to conduct launch meetings, create effective sourcing strategies, provide high quality candidates slates for consideration.
  • Proactively execute candidate-generation strategies, develop and deliver qualified diverse pipelines of active and passive top talents for future and active roles by leveraging appropriate tools and techniques
  • Build and maintain a network of passive potential future candidates for targeted strategic talent hiring initiatives in JAPAN.
  • Screen and qualify prospects for key attributes, expertise, experience, availability, interest level, salary range, relocation needs, etc.
  • Develop potential recruiting sources by preparing research strategies; identifying and qualifying sources, including search engines (involving Boolean and flip searches, and x-raying, chat rooms, message boards), organization lists, publications, home pages, colleges and institutes, and job fairs; building networks of passive job seekers.
  • Implement key workforce diversity recruitment strategies and partnerships to include, but not limited to professional associations, diversity recruitment conferences, community outreach programs and events, industry networking events and associations, etc.
  • Lead ongoing research and visualization of competitive landscape and market insights/trends. Remain current and relevant in those functional expertise and demographics.
  • Proved expertise with relevant tools and programs (e.g., CRMs, labor market data, applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, referral programs, and job boards) and utilize various online and social media resources to build talent pipelines
  • Fully leverage technology (e.g. social media) to outreach, create and maintain superb candidate relationship management, lead tracking, and process flow development to discover and sustain cold/warm leads, hot leads, referrals, and other potential prospects.
  • Maintain excellent operational execution, identifying and anticipating candidate needs, following issues to closure, and collaborating with key stakeholders to meet expectations. Actively lead and participate in providing feedback and recommendations to enhance day-to-day recruiting and sourcing operations 
  • Lead the collection and analysis of industry knowledge, stay on top of talent market trends. Understand and analyze talent supply & demand.
  • Analyze effectiveness of efforts through data analysis and reporting including search progress reports, status reports, and market trend/feedback reports for presentation.
  • Lead/participate in ad hoc projects regionally and Globally as necessary

    University Relations
     
  • Support University Relations (UR) activities in Japan as required, including coordinating campus engagement events, managing relationships with university partners, and initiatives aligned with business needs.

What you’ll need (Required):

  • A Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum 4-5 years of sourcing and/or recruiting experience within a search firm or in-house corporate environment.
  • Recruiting and sourcing experience for technical or niche talent is required, with a combination of both agency and corporate environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates utilizing various channels and technology tools.
  • Experience in the development of multiple talent sourcing options for both active and passive candidates, with advanced sourcing techniques to identify candidates (e.g., cold calling, job boards, advertising, database and internet searches, and networking and referrals).
  • Experience within a large complex corporate environment is preferred. Experience in the Lifesciences industry is a plus.  
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly articulate, well-developed, effective written and verbal communication skills used to gather information and engage potential candidate's interest in Edwards
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills in a multi-tasking style and approach
  • Excellent negotiating skills coupled with strong ability to handle objections effectively.
  • Highly consultative, able to inform hiring managers and candidates on talent acquisition process, illustrate market trends, and use data/information to help in decision making.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and requirements relevant to talent acquisition and sourcing.
  • Labor Market Tools Experience (Gartner - TalentNeuron, CareerBuilder– Supply & Demand, BLS, Etc.)
  • Excellent teamwork: participates and contributes to completion of significant team projects and goals
  • Results-oriented mindset (high sense of urgency, determination, tenacity, etc.).
  • Interest and aptitude for learning highly technical subject matter.
