Senior Solutions Engineer - APAC

About Role

Clockwork is seeking a sales-oriented Senior Solutions Engineer with deep technical expertise in AI networking to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys blending technical excellence with customer-facing impact.

As a key technical partner to the sales organization, you will support the entire customer journey—from understanding customer requirements and delivering compelling technical presentations and demonstrations, to leading proof-of-concept (PoC) evaluations and overseeing complex software deployments. Your background in networking, systems engineering, and consultative problem-solving will be critical to driving successful customer outcomes.

This position represents Clockwork’s first Solutions Engineer hire in the APAC region. The role is preferably based in Singapore. Bilingual candidates with strong English proficiency are highly desirable, as you will work closely with regional and global stakeholders.

What you will do

• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique business needs and create, prototype, and deploy tailored solutions that align with their requirements.
• Lead proof of concept evaluations to showcase the value of Clockwork's solutions within customer environments.
• Provide technical leadership during customer meetings, presentations, and workshops, addressing any technical queries or concerns that arise.
• Work closely with Clockwork's sales team to complete PoC evaluations and close deals.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams, and identify opportunities for product enhancement.
• Offer valuable insights on product features, functionality, and performance, contributing to discussions about product strategy and architecture.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in AI networking, Kubernetes, and cloud computing, sharing your thought leadership with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Represent Clockwork at conferences and industry events, with occasional travel as required.

Experience/skills you bring to the position

• 5+ years in a solutions architect or engineering role, preferably within cloud or AI infrastructure domains.
• Previous pre-sales experience, including POCs, with client stakeholders, including senior technical staff and management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with GPU infrastructure and related technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of networking protocols.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, with a customer-centric mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• A degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and Linux (Golang, C, C++, and Java are a plus).
