DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Solution Architect to join our innovative SAS/CitDev team, focusing on the design and implementation of advanced AI and intelligent automation solutions. This role is critical in driving our digital transformation, leveraging the latest in AI tools, agentic AI, intelligent agent bots, and robust automation platforms like Blue Prism, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native architectures, particularly Google Cloud Platform.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, translating complex requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient architectural designs. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction for AI-driven automation, ensuring solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture standards and deliver significant business value.

• Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end architectural design of AI and intelligent automation solutions, encompassing AI tools (MLOps platforms, cognitive services, NLP engines, Generative AI models), agentic AI frameworks, intelligent agent bots, and Blue Prism RPA, primarily on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strategic Road-mapping: Contribute to the development of our AI and automation strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies and methodologies to address business challenges and drive efficiency.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices, coding standards, and security policies.
• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
• Technology Evaluation & Selection: Research, evaluate, and recommend new AI and automation technologies, platforms, and tools, assessing their suitability for Deutsche Bank's strategic objectives and technical landscape.
• Integration Expertise: Define integration strategies for AI components and automation solutions with existing enterprise systems, data sources, and cloud platforms, emphasizing API-first approaches.
• Performance & Scalability: Design solutions with a strong focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability, anticipating future growth and evolving business needs.
• Governance & Standards: Ensure solutions comply with architectural governance, security standards, data privacy regulations, and operational best practices, applying a solid grasp of security architecture principles.
• Proof of Concept (PoC) & Prototyping: Lead or contribute to PoCs and prototypes to validate technical approaches and demonstrate value for innovative AI and automation use cases.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, data flow diagrams, integration patterns, and deployment models.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering collaboration and alignment across teams.

Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in a Solution Architect role focused on AI, Automation, or related intelligent technologies.
• Minimum of 5 years in cloud architecture, specifically with extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Deep expertise in AI tools and platforms: Experience with MLOps platforms, cognitive services (e.g., Google AI Platform, Azure AI, AWS AI/ML services), NLP/NLU frameworks (e.g., spaCy, Hugging Face, Rasa), computer vision, machine learning model deployment, and a strong understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Proven experience with Agentic AI solutions and Agent Bots: Demonstrated ability to design and implement intelligent agents, conversational AI (chatbots, voicebots), and autonomous systems that can perform complex tasks, learn, and adapt.
• Strong hands-on experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), specifically Blue Prism: Architecting, designing, and overseeing the development of Blue Prism solutions for enterprise-grade automation.
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Advanced architectural knowledge in Java and Python.
• Solid grasp of security architecture principles.
• Experience with API first architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, and proficiency with Terraform.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their AI/ML and automation services is a plus.
• Experience with API design and integration, microservices architecture, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication skills in English, with effective presentation skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a way that suits different audiences.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience with other RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) in addition to Blue Prism.
• Knowledge of process mining tools.
• Certifications in relevant AI/ML or cloud technologies (especially GCP certifications).
• Experience with data governance and MLOps best practices.
