Senior Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in full‑stack development with AI implementation knowledge, building API‑driven, cloud‑native platforms with strong emphasis on reliability, automation, and CI/CD excellence. Experienced in delivering secure, scalable solutions across frontend and backend layers, while continuously improving system performance through test automation, pipeline optimization, and resilient design patterns.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in automation tools such as Java, Selenium, Playwright Appium, and API testing frameworks.

  • 4+ years of experience in design and maintain robust automation frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.

  • 4+ years’ experience in Java, Python, or similar languages.

  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and cloud-based test environments.

  • 4+ years of working knowledge any cloud platform

  • Good knowledge on banking domain with open banking API is a plus

  • 2+ years’ experience in GenAI, Agentic AI, Co-pilot usage experience along with knowledge of AI on Automation is a plus and MCP Playwright automation

  • 4+ years of experience with monitoring/log analysis tools such as Splunk

  • 2+years’ experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions for test automation

  • Knowledge and understanding of test and behavior driven application development

  • Strong written and communication skills.

  • Good understanding of API Gateway such as APIGEE is a plus.

  • Working knowledge on ReactJS Micro-Frontend, Microservices, Mongo Db, Kafka, TDD /BDD


Job Expectations:

  • Must be based in one of the above locations or willing to relocate at your own expense.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

  • This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule, 3 days onsite.

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$120,000.00 - $196,000.00
