Senior Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Software engineer to join us at Telia.

I’m Mantas Krakys, Head of AI & Analytics in B2B Products portfolio, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team, focused on building, governing, and scaling shared AI and analytics capabilities, enabling B2B Tech product teams to deliver AI‑driven customer and operational value in a secure, compliant, and reliable way across portfolio.

What you’ll do:

Build and maintain a platform‑agnostic, sovereign AI agent foundation for contact center systems, taking ownership of both new platform capabilities and ongoing support, stability, and evolution of existing solutions.

• Build and run the AI agent platform in production, making sure it stays secure, scalable, and compliant as usage and demand grow
• Maintain and support existing platform solutions, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuous improvement
• Consult and collaborate with product teams, architects, and stakeholders to share innovations, best practices, and support AI adoption across the department while working according to agile ways of working

What will help you thrive in this role:

You are a backend‑focused engineer with experience in multiple programming languages, comfortable working across the stack. You bring a strong understanding of security principles and a genuine interest in evolving AI development practices.

• Proven experience in backend and platform engineering, building and operating production systems using Rust, managing the full lifecycle from architecture and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and long‑term support.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL with secure data practices, Kubernetes and ArgoCD (GitOps) deployments, Linux‑based systems, modern CI/CD workflows, and authentication and access control mechanisms such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, RBAC, and mTLS.
• Ability to design, secure, and troubleshoot distributed systems, work confidently across infrastructure, networking, and application layers, and operate effectively in environments with strict security, compliance, and data‑sovereignty requirements.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional, Agile teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Advantage if you have experience with audio streaming or signaling protocols (RTP, WebRTC, SIP), message brokers or service meshes, Leptos/WASM applications, or exposure to machine‑learning validation and evaluation methods.

Monthly salary range for this position 4320 – 6480 Eur (gross) + annual performance/sales bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
