Position Summary:

KBR is looking for a Technical Team Leader/Subject Matter Expert to support the horizontal integration of multiple USAF open architecture programs and projects with in house developed software systems. Our team leads the charge in the USAF Autonomy open architecture development, simulation, maturation and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrated Project Team Lead is responsible for bringing together team members from multiple different teams on the program to plan, execute, and deliver integrated software as a unified team. This role blends leadership, coordination, communication, and strategic oversight.
  • Manage and coordinate the scope of integrating and testing program software with vendor software across multiple teams to successfully deliver and deploy software to the U.S. Government Client.
  • Act as the technical owner of the Autonomy Integration team combining multiple projects includes: MBSE models, documentation, MS&A environment, and reference software.
  • Support demonstration of autonomy and flight control algorithms in a high fidelity simulated environment
  • Provide overall leadership and direction
    • Scope the development and management of on-site System Integration Labs (SIL).
    • Delivery of documentation related to design and use of software.
    • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for developed applications and (SILs).

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-10%
  • Working Hours: Standard (8am-4pm-core hours)

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field
  • Experience with systems engineering
  • Experience with software testing and integration
  • Experience with data modeling, test driven development, and mission planning
  • Experience with modern commercial software development practices using tools like GitLab, Jira, and Artifactory, etc.
  • Experience with collaborative software development in either open source or professional team environments.
  • Active Secret Clearance; Top Secret eligible

Desired:

  • USAF program management experience
  • Experience with autonomous systems
  • Experience working with UAVs/UASs
  • Aviation, flight simulator, or operator experience
  • Understanding of modern software development tools, languages, and practices
  • Familiarity with existing autonomy-based DoD open standards and reference architectures, such as Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Autonomy-Government Reference Architecture (A-GRA)
