Role overview
As a Senior Engineer, within the Haleon Salesforce Excellence team you will be at the forefront of innovation, overseeing advanced engineering tasks and guiding junior engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Salesforce development, with a keen focus on building scalable, secure, and efficient Salesforce services. This role offers the opportunity to drive implementation of strategic functionalities enhancing capabilities of Haleon Representatives worldwide.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and manage delivery of complex engineering tasks within the Team. From conception to completion with approach: “We build it, we Own it”.
Implement new functionalities with Apex, LWC and when needed using Salesforce Out of the Box configuration options (we migrated from Classic to Lightning in 2023).
Develop best quality code: according to industry standards, with Unit Tests (we encourage you use TDD methodology), take advantage of static code analysis tool (SonarQube) and AI (GitHub Copilot) not forgetting about Code Review process and using automated CI/CD pipeline.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Develop cohesive and actionable plans to overcome technical challenges.
Foster culture of continuous improvement, share your knowledge, mentor and inspire less experienced Engineers.
Collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project alignment and quality.
Identify non-functional requirements, promote good practices in areas such as accessibility, performance, security, testability and observability.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
+4 years of practical, hands-on experience in Salesforce development
Proven track record in Salesforce administration and development roles with deep knowledge across multiple Salesforce products (our core system is based on Sales Cloud, but we are integrated with: Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Agentforce).
Extensive hands-on experience developing Salesforce customizations using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC), custom integrations (REST API, Bulk API, Event-Driven), and executing data migrations.
In-depth understanding of architectural and operational best practices with emphasis on Salesforce but not limited to.
Extensive experience with Salesforce DX project setup, Git repository management (GitHub) and available automations (static code analysis tools, automated testing, integration and deployment, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot etc.)
A strong passion for creating clean, maintainable & highly testable code and components.
Excellent communication skills
Problem-solver, confident communicator, challenge-ready
Fluent English
Preferred
Salesforce Architect or Developer certifications.
Strong knowledge of Scrum based Agile development.
Experience with pure JavaScript, HTML, CSS and a front-end framework i.e. ReactJS, AngularJS or VueJS.
Professional experience with Veeva CRM
