Senior Software Engineer, Purchasing Analytics

Primary Purpose of Role:
The Procurement Senior Software Engineer is an individual contributor who designs, develops, and launches sophisticated software applications. This role will focus on Improving and automating Procurement processes using the Microsoft Power Platform and Business Intelligence, while also delivering high-impact solutions for non-Microsoft platforms through technical cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support design, development, and enhancement of Procurement specific custom and standard applications
- Support requirement gathering to provide expert technical guidance on systems options and solutions.
- Execute global analytics initiatives, including solution design, roadmap development, prioritization, and implementation
- Identify opportunities to improve standardization and organizational efficiencies.
- Provide in-depth technical consultation to cross functional teams to ensure development of efficient application systems utilizing established standards, procedures, and methodologies.
- Integrate business systems with other technologies utilizing standard methods (APIs, ETL, etc.)
- Set direction for and maintain version control and release management
- Write SQL/Python queries to extract and analyze data, generating actionable insights and presenting findings in Power BI
- Support Solutions Architect in cross-functional reviews to design, implement, and support business solutions and processes on Microsoft Power Platforms
- Develop, implement, and maintain best-practice standards, policies, procedures
- Develop Model-Driven Apps, and Canvas Apps, using, SharePoint, or SQL-based data storage models.
- Create and manage Power Automate Cloud Flows to automate and optimize business processes.
- Ensure compliance with Power Platform best practices for security, governance, and maintainability.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or Engineering
Experience Required:
- 10 or more years' experience in Procurement, IT, and/or Similar Area
Experience with:
- Object Oriented Languages, XML/SOAP, JSON, API and SQL
- SAP ERP
- Microsoft Power Platform
- Integration and orchestration using Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric Pipelines, or Logic Apps.
- Strong understanding of system design, code quality practices, and secure development
- Data migration, performance optimization, and security management.
- SharePoint development and administration
Scope Factors:
- Senior level professional and technical role: Requires understanding of subject matter, concepts, and practices for a Procurement, and IT
- Frequently interacts with senior leadership and cross functional team members.
- Must already possess technical knowledge from a pertinent degree program and work-related experience.
