Platinum Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI. The position is hybrid in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, NC.
What you’ll do.
- Designs, develops, enhances, and sustains enterprise web applications supporting the customer mission, readiness, and personnel management operations.
- Contributes to the overall architecture of enterprise applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with DoD and customer technical requirements.
- Supports the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production sustainment.
- Develops and maintains front-end and back-end components for mission-critical applications using modern frameworks and enterprise development tools.
- Builds and integrates APIs, database services, and automated data exchange processes across enterprise systems and mission data repositories.
- Supports modernization and enhancement of applications such as personnel, readiness, and workflow management systems under the program task order.
- Works closely with project managers, architects, engineers, cybersecurity staff, and government stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Participates in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, demos, and retrospectives to support iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
- Ensures applications comply with cybersecurity, access control, and secure coding requirements, including support for Zero Trust implementation objectives.
- Conducts unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, code review, and deployment support to ensure quality and operational reliability across development and production environments.
- Produces and maintains technical documentation, release notes, and implementation artifacts to support sustainment, knowledge transfer, and audit readiness.
What you’ll bring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum five (5+) years of experience in mobile application development (iOS, Android, or cross-platform).
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification (Security+ CE, CASP+, OR CISSP)
- Experience with mobile frameworks (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter).
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and DoD cybersecurity requirements (RMF, STIGs).
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend systems and APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Preferred qualifications / experience
- Experience supporting DoD or other federal enterprise application development programs.
- Strong knowledge of full-stack application development using technologies such as Angular, ASP.NET Core/.NET, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with SQL Server, relational database design, stored procedures, and data integration between enterprise systems.
- Experience with API development, system integration, and backend service design.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
- Experience applying secure development practices in support of DoD cybersecurity requirements, including RMF, STIGs, vulnerability remediation, and access control.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts, identity and access management, RBAC, least-privilege access, and enterprise authentication approaches.
- Ability to support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production sustainment in controlled enterprise environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional, team-based development environments.
