As a Senior Software Engineer, you thrive on working with your team to design, build and deliver innovative software products and solutions that delight our customers. You apply software engineering knowledge in software application layer solutions and the software development lifecycle, to solve problems. Your continuous learning and improving mindset are critical to success in this role, as you continue to deepen your knowledge and expertise in the Software Engineering Domain.
About the role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using Java 11,17 & 21, Utilize frameworks like Spring Boot,
- Design and implement microservices-based architectures for distributed systems supporting retail operations.
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs, messaging systems and event-driven architectures.
- Work with docker to containerize services.
- Work with AWS cloud services, including ECS (Fargate), Lambda, and load balancers, to deploy and manage applications.
- Work with observability tools (Splunk and New Relic) to monitor and ensure the health and performance of cloud environments and applications.
- Build and maintain systems that support order orchestration, logistics, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, and Bamboo
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Apply expertise in Authentication & Authorization protocols (e.g., JWT, OAuth), including certificate handling and usage to ensure robust application security.
- Utilize databases such as Postgres, MySQL, and DynamoDB to store and retrieve data efficiently.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with new technologies and be eager to learn and incorporate them into projects.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the performance, scalability, and usability of the applications.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Skill set Requirements:
- Programming languages: Java 8+, Java 11 &21 (Expert) / JavaScript
- Strong hands-on experience in development and testing using microservice/lightweight containers & frameworks such as Spring Boot
- Understanding of CRM Product Model /Order Decomposition/ Order Orchestrator
- Understanding of design patterns and ability to show expertise in applying design patterns.
- Involved in the design and implementation of secure, scalable, fault-tolerant systems in the cloud.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL DBs
- Expert in containerization using Docker.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and familiarity with serverless technology, services like ECS (Fargate), Lambda, and load balancers.
- Proficiency in CI/CD practices using GitLab or Bamboo.
- Expertise in Authentication and authorization protocols like JWT, and OAuth including certificate handling.
- Experience working with databases such as Postgres, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 11+ years of hands-on development experience with microservices architecture using cloud services.
- Education: Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (Azure, AWS )
