About the Role:
You will be part of a highly collaborative product team developing tools that drive and digitize building construction on site at scale.
Product Teams at GROPYUS own what they build, including underlying infrastructure, build pipelines, automated testing, release and rollout management, monitoring, and support. You will develop software (both alone and in a pair) that is properly tested and observable, and you will deploy your changes to live systems while ensuring system stability and usability
You will be trusted to solve problems efficiently and effectively, and to proactively assume responsibility for under-attended topics, both within your product area as well as across product areas. You will be expected to display technical leadership inside your team: proposing architecture evolution, offering support to colleagues, playing down technical debt, spiking solutions to problems, presenting new code and features, and more.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d) on the Product Delivery team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, building, testing and operating software solutions for building construction use cases incl. inbound logistics, issue tracking, quality assurance, and scheduling
- Working alongside our R&D department on an autonomous construction initiative
- Working in a cloud infrastructure environment, managing complex software deployments
- Acting as a bridge between digital product delivery & physical construction site activities, ensuring both are aligned and integrated
- Bringing a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset to monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime including reliable updates, latency, and efficiency
- Helping define, monitor and evolve SLAs/SLOs as well as other important KPIs like e.g. installation time for building elements
What you bring:
- You are an experienced full-stack software engineer
- You possess practical experience in key areas of modern software development, including infrastructure, observability, testing, deployment pipelines, quality assurance, and scaling
- You have operated and supported large-scale user-facing software systems in cloud environments
- You have worked in companies with strong operational cultures, ideally in logistics or manufacturing – understanding the commercial impact of system downtime
- You have experience with all the following technologies and are proficient in most of them:
- Kotlin / SpringBoot
- Typescript / React
- Kubernetes
- PostgreSQL
- Cloud Operations (Azure is a bonus)
- You are familiar with monitoring and alerting practices for production systems
- You have experience defining and working with SLAs/SLOs
- You are willing to travel to our construction sites in the DACH region whenever needed and within Germany for in-person team events
