Department Overview

Join our R&D team as a versatile Mid-Level Software Engineer. You will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and enhancing our core cloud applications and the sophisticated automation frameworks that ensure their quality. This role demands an engineer who is proficient in full-stack concepts, passionate about quality assurance, and eager to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and testing effectiveness.
You will be allocated based on business need, either contributing directly to product feature development or strengthening our end-to-end system test automation.


Job Description

Software Development & Architecture

  • Contribute well-tested, production-quality code to both front-end and back-end services.

  • Participate in the technical discussion and contribute to implementation plans for new features.

  • Own and define class-level or service-level API contracts for features within your scope.

  • Conduct thorough code reviews, catching edge cases and ensuring quality and performance.

  • Actively utilize AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) for coding, debugging, and efficient task breakdown, while practicing review and validation of the AI output.

Quality & Automation

  • Champion an "automation-first" approach, ensuring the system delivers a reliable experience.

  • Design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and suites using modern tools like TypeScript and Playwright.

  • Develop automated solutions for comprehensive testing, including functional, integration, and end-to-end workflows.

  • Design and manage GitHub Workflows (CI/CD) to execute test suites on a regular cadence and analyze automated run results.

  • Log, triage, and work effectively with various teams to resolve defects.


Basic Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 2-5 years of progressive hands-on experience in either Full-Stack Development or Test Automation Engineering.

  • Strong proficiency in a modern back-end technology (e.g., Java, C#/.NET, Node.js, or Python).

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript (or JavaScript) for scripting, framework development, or front-end work.

  • Experience or deep understanding of building, maintaining, and debugging automation suites using tools like Playwright.

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) principles, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Proven experience working with industry tools like Git version control (branching, merging, pull requests) and CI/CD concepts.

  • Working knowledge of testing methodologies, defect logging, and working in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban).

  • A strong desire to learn and adopt new technologies, including AI-powered development tools.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing highly performant user experiences with a modern front-end framework (e.g., Angular, React).

  • Understanding of API testing automation (REST/GraphQL).

  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or AWS).

  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) for test execution or application deployment.

  • Practical experience in leveraging AI tools for coding, design, or pipeline optimization.

  • Experience testing or developing for distributed systems involving both hardware and software components.

  • Familiarity with video security, IoT, or physical access control systems is a plus.
