We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support our team in Zürich.
About the team
FIS Securities Finance Trading & Collateral is a market leader in delivering technology and services to the global Securities Finance & Collateral industry. The components of FIS’ solution suite are designed to support the entire and complete value chain and processes of the Securities Finance and Collateral market. The global business has 200+ clients, both sell side and buy side institutions including Banks, Agent Lenders, Broker/Dealers and Asset Managers.
What you will be doing
- Engineer and maintain our build / deployment platform to drive continuous delivery of our platform
- Be part of our development teams with the view to ramp up DevOps culture of the project
- Build and maintain various CI/CD pipelines supporting projects CD initiatives
- Administer / Maintain development infrastructure including source control systems, CI/CD servers, CI/CD environments, container orchestration servers –including OS level
- Continuously explore new technologies / opportunities to improve team development efficiency
- Engage in constant architecture and toolset modernizations of our cloud offering by sharing your ideas and vision
- Provide technical guidance to other team members within areas of expertise
- Implementation of the latest industry technologies
What you bring
- 5+ years of relevant work experience as System engineer, DevOps engineer or Linux Engineer
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (Azure AKS, OpenShift, AWS EKS)
- Experience with container technologies: Docker/Podman, Helm charts
- Experience in build engineering, automation of testing and deployment
- Experience and understanding of CI/CD concepts and tool stack is mandatory - including CI servers (Jenkins is preferred) and corresponding build tools like Maven
- Experience with scripting languages (Groovy, Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
- Experience in configuring and maintaining Linux OS is necessary
- Experience with source control systems (BitBucket, GitHub)
Added bonus if you have experience
- with deployment of Java-based applications
- in software releasing and versioning
- with metric, logging and monitoring tools
- with object-oriented programming, preferably Java
- Exposure to software development
