Senior Software Engineer

Your Responsibilities 

• Coding, debugging, and supporting cloud-based web applications 

• Performing unit, integration, and system testing 

• Familiarity and expertise with DevOps processes including Github Actions and promotion from Dev to Prod 

• Designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful web APIs 

• Creating elegant user interface solutions 

• Collaborating with fellow team members to help solve technical challenges they’re facing 

• Integrating Content Management Systems (Contentful, Adobe Experience Manager) into marketing websites 

• Taking ownership of individual components within an application 

• Complete in-depth peer code reviews following industry best practices to ensure that all code bases remain clean, maintainable, and efficient 

 

Your Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)  

• 4-7 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer 

• 4+ years of web development technologies and tools (HTML5, CSS3, Vanilla JavaScript, CSS frameworks, Responsive Web Design, JavaScript frameworks, etc.)  

• 4+ years using object-oriented development and design patterns 

• 3+ years of extensive experience with React (or similar technologies such as Angular, TypeScript, Vue, or similar).  

• Established experience designing and implementing RESTful web APIs using Node.js  

• Skillful in the use of serverless technologies with AWS Lambda, AWS Pipelines, AWS CodeBuild, AWS Code Deploy and other AWS services (or similar technologies such as GCP Cloud Functions or Azure Functions) 

• Experienced in Test-Driven Development, unit testing, and clean code 

• Working knowledge of automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar 

• Superb written and oral communication skills  

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated and excellent presentation skills   

• Ability to effectively work both autonomously as well as on a team 

• Ability to leverage AI Development Tools to enable greater speed to market but understand the right use case for it.  

 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Consulting experience  

• Eager to learn new technologies in high-paced environments 

• Proactive, self-starters who listen to their customer’s business needs 

• Deep background working in an Agile methodology to develop software 

• Knowledge of software architecture design patterns  

• Proven ability to assist in leading small to medium sized development teams
