As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in .NET, C#, and Azure, you will play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end technology solutions that drive digital transformation across Shell. Your work will create tangible business value through innovative products, projects, and programs. What you’ll be doing
Provide solution consultation and development aligned with enterprise technology principles, methods, standards, and practices.
Handle estimation, solution design, detailed technical design, and deliver application components including code, tests, and documentation.
Ensure all applications comply with high security standards and best practices.
Work largely independently within defined projects or work streams, with accountability for end results.
Play an executional role in design and development projects or serve as an expert tester by creating test scripts and offering project guidance and planning support.
Advise internal teams on resolving functional and technical issues related to assigned applications and infrastructure.
Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions for web applications.
Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code.
Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs.
Maintain code quality, organization, and automation standards.
Collaborate closely with Product and UX teams to enhance user experience.
Integrate applications with backend services for seamless functionality.
What you bring
9–12 years of overall software development experience, with at least 7 years of hands-on expertise in building and delivering robust applications.
Deep proficiency in .NET Framework, C#, Python, and SQL, with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Extensive experience with Azure Cloud Services, including Azure Functions, Container Apps, Application Services, API Management (APIM), Storage Accounts, Application Gateway, Service Bus, and Event Hub.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices, ensuring scalable and secure solutions.
Proven experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and containerization using Docker.
Front-end expertise with ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript for building modern, responsive user interfaces.
Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as XUnit, NUnit, and JavaScript-based test tools.
Advanced knowledge of SQL Server and Cosmos DB, including performance tuning and data modeling.
Solid understanding of security standards and best practices for application development.
Experience working in Agile environments, fostering collaboration and iterative delivery.
Commitment to software quality, with exceptional attention to detail and thorough documentation.
Nice to Have:
Experience with React Native for cross-platform mobile development.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns.
Exposure to Retail or Business Mobility processes.
Knowledge of performance testing and optimization techniques.
