Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Manage Infrastructure & Automation: Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud resources using automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure efficiency.
Monitoring & Observability: Implementing tools to monitor system performance, uptime, and usage, ensuring high availability of services.
Security & Compliance: Implementing security measures, such as firewalls and access controls (IAM), to protect data and ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Cost Optimization (FinOps): Analyzing cloud resource usage to identify, eliminate, and reduce unnecessary costs.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Resolving technical issues, reducing downtime, and ensuring continuity through proactive monitoring and rapid response.
Collaboration: Working with developers and IT teams to facilitate seamless application deployment and updates.
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development.
Hands on experience in software development covering object-oriented programming and shell scripting.
Hands on experience in Unix and docker/containerization.
Desired Characteristics
Experience using DevOps tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, Maven, Ant
Experience of at least 3-6 years with AWS cloud services.
Good proficiency in Terraform or AWS CDK.
Solid experience with EKS, Kubernetes fundamentals, and containerized workloads.
Experience deploying and operating Lambda based applications.
Excellent understanding of VPC design, networking, security groups, routing, and IAM.
Good understanding of AWS cost management, billing, and optimization techniques.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
Good troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.
Experience in SecOps
