Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help develop our innovative Digital Reporting Platform (DRP), powered by the Quadient Inspire suite. The platform includes advanced features for content management, document design, templating and preview, distribution, archiving, and supports interactive report creation (Platform as a Service – PaaS) for modern digital reporting.

Your Responsibilities

  • Integrate a new strategic multi-tier reporting application using synchronous/asynchronous patterns (REST, MQ, Events/Kafka, JPA/OM) within LGT's IT landscape.
  • Develop and enhance reports to meet diverse customer and business needs.
  • Implement non-functional requirements such as application security, scalability, auditability, and observability.
  • Support the automation of testing and operational processes.
  • Foster an open, knowledge-sharing team spirit and collaborative culture.
  • Ensure technical quality compliance with LGT standards.
  • Develop optimal solutions that balance pragmatic and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with legacy migrations and reverse engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in software engineering practices and tools, ideally with Java/Spring Boot.
  • Solid knowledge of databases (SQL/MS SQL), query languages, and ETL processes.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting technologies/platforms (e.g., Quadient Inspire).
  • Very good spoken and written English and German skills.
  • Skilled in developing multi-tier applications and integration patterns (REST, MQ, Events/Kafka, JPA/OM).
  • Understanding of architectural patterns (Microservices, BFF, 12-Factor), application security, and critical quality attributes.
  • Experience with job automation/workload scheduling (e.g., UC4/Automic, Python); exposure to front-end technologies is a plus.
  • Agile project experience (SCRUM, SAFe) with strong communication and collaboration skills
