The Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer with extensive frontend experience to join the Adobe Target team. You'll develop, build, and deliver high-quality web applications, libraries, and SDKs that enable personalization for many leading global brands. This role offers the chance to work on products used by millions daily, collaborate with skilled engineers, and lead important projects from idea to completion.

What You'll Do

  • Develop exceptional web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript, providing intuitive and responsive user interfaces
  • Build and develop micro frontend architectures that enable independent, scalable, and maintainable frontend modules across teams
  • Build performant libraries and SDKs used by customers, with a focus on reliability, usability, and performance
  • Own projects end-to-end—from technical build and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to define requirements, build product direction, and deliver seamless user experiences
  • Champion frontend guidelines, including code quality, accessibility, performance optimization, and build system adoption
  • Mentor and learn from teammates, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring our applications perform reliably at scale

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience building production-grade web applications with a strong frontend focus
  • Extensive knowledge of React and contemporary JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+), accompanied by a strong grasp of component-based architecture
  • Experience building reusable component libraries, SDKs, or shared frontend infrastructure used across multiple teams or products
  • Knowledge of micro frontend patterns and strategies for scaling frontend development in large organizations
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization—you know how to identify bottlenecks and deliver fast, responsive applications
  • Experience with modern build tools and CI/CD pipelines (Webpack, Vite, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Solid grasp of frontend testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright)
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and building inclusive user experiences
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across fields and time zones
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in the field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil)
  • Familiarity with building systems (Spectrum, Storybook, or similar)
  • Exposure to backend technologies (Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs)
  • Experience working on developer-facing tools, SDKs, or platform products
  • Contributions to open source projects
