YOU
As a Lead Software Developer with a .NET and Unity 3D focus, you will be responsible for designing, modifying and developing software programming applications, ensuring customer satisfaction is met by all team members. .
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Application Development:
Be an integral part of the application development team, with special emphasis on implementing business logic and the data access layer of application code (TSQL, C#, ASP.NET, etc.). Review, analyze, and modify existing proprietary applications to correct errors, improve performance, and add new features, all while exceeding coding standards. (40%)
Technical Architecture & Design:
Develop technical architectures, design patterns, and implementation plans for team members to follow. (20%)
Mentorship:
Mentor software developers and associate software developers in making sound, pattern-based technical decisions. (20%)
Troubleshooting & Production Support:
Troubleshoot and fix production issues found by customers and internal consultants, as reported by the software support team. (10%)
Agile Scrum Participation:
Attend Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives as part of the Agile Scrum software development lifecycle. (10%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Additional qualifications that would be helpful include:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in web application development, with expertise in:
Languages & Frameworks: .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, Blazor (Nice to have)
Game & Interactive Tech: Unity 3D, Unity Build, WebGL
API & Integration: REST and SOAP Web Services, WCF, Web APIs
Databases: SQL Server, MySQL
UI Development:
Experience with Unity 3D, and WebGL is required.
Testing Tools & Static Analysis:
Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, and static analysis tools like SonarCloud and Snyk.
Microsoft Development Tools:
Advanced understanding of Microsoft development tools, including Visual Studio IDE, Visual Studio Code, and SQL Management Studio.
Design Patterns:
Experience using design patterns, such as dependency inversion via dependency injection.
Project Leadership:
Strong ability to start and lead a project from inception to completion.
Technical Specifications:
Ability to break down high-level requirements into technical specifications for implementation.
Automated Unit Testing:
Experience with automated unit testing patterns and tools, including NUnit/XUnit.
Build Servers:
Knowledge of Bitbucket Pipelines, Unity Cloud Build, and familiarity with AWS and Azure services.
Version Control & Deployment:
Solid knowledge of Bitbucket/Git, Git Large File Storage, and deployment through AWS and Azure.
Tools & Frameworks:
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Tempo, and Trello for project management.
Additional Tools:
Familiarity with Blender for creating and refining 3D assets.
Offshore Collaboration:
Experience working with teams across multiple time zones, especially with US locations.
