Job Description

The Operational Effectiveness’ Automation Development Team is seeking an experienced Automation Developer to join our team, focusing on developing and implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and process orchestration solutions. As an Automation Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing automation solutions to support Personal and Commercial Operations. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure exceptional quality standards for our in-house developed suite of applications.

While agentic AI experience is not required, it is considered a nice-to-have skill, and candidates with experience in this area may be given preference.

Skills & Requirements:

What will you do?

  • Design, develop, and test RPA and process orchestration solutions using tools like PEGA, Camunda, or similar technologies
  • Manage code documentation and version control for automation solutions
  • Collaborate with business partners to define automation requirements and deliver solutions
  • Work with the team to identify and solve complex problems
  • Share expertise and advocate for automation technologies within the team

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must Have:

  • Knowledge of RPA tools like PEGA, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism
  • Experience with process orchestration tools like Camunda, Apache Airflow, or similar technologies
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
  • Hands-on experience with source code management and DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, UCD)
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Java, C# and AngularJS
  • Familiarity with data management (S3, DB2, SQL, etc.) and .NET (ASP.NET, .NET Core / 6, console applications)
  • Passion for automation and process improvement
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A high level of motivation, strong work ethic, and self-starting attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with agentic AI technologies (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing)
  • Familiarity with Cloud Solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Undergraduate degree or advanced diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Technical background with development technologies like Helios, Apigee, or OpenShift
  • Certification in RPA or process orchestration tools (e.g., PEGA, Camunda)
