What you will do. A glimpse in your role:
As a .NET Software Engineer, you will develop and support Global Blue’s self-service kiosk client and backend applications with the highest quality and commitment throughout the software development lifecycle.
You will work in a scrum team, contributing to business and technical goals aligned with our development standards and quality criteria.

- Design, develop, test, support, and deploy self-service clients, web, and backend applications in .NET
- Build kiosk client software integrating hardware peripherals (document and barcode scanners, printers, cash dispensers, touch screens, payment terminals)
- Research and evaluate new technologies and products
- Implement best practices, standards, and procedures to ensure quality and compliance throughout the software lifecycle
- Work in an Agile team setup
- Collaborate with development teams, product owners/managers, and business analysts
- Provide support for Level 1 and Level 2 application support teams (ITSM)
- Take an active role in technical improvement initiatives.
Key competencies to empower your journey. You'll drive towards success if:
- Excellent understanding of OOP concepts and .NET programming
- Hands-on experience with Agile development in an international environment
- 5+ years developing frontend applications in C#, ASP.NET, MVVM, HTML, CSS
- Experience with WPF, Angular, or mobile app development (iOS/Android/multiplatform) is a strong plus
- In-depth experience with API design and consumption (SOAP/REST)
- Automated unit/functional/integration testing
- Strong understanding of Software Design Patterns
- Fluent English (oral and written)
Skills
- C#, .NET 7+, .NET Framework 4.8
- WPF, ASP.NET, MVVM pattern, HTML, JavaScript
- SQL Server or similar relational database experience
- Strong object-oriented programming, clean code principles, and attention to software quality
- Knowledge of HTTP protocol and REST APIs
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience in self-service kiosk software development
- Knowledge of hardware peripheral APIs (passport readers, barcode scanners, power management devices)
- Experience with 24/7 system monitoring
Qualifications and education requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field
- 5+ years professional experience in software engineering with Microsoft technologies
