Who You Will Work With:
The vacant Senior Software Developer role will report to the Practice Leader, Product Enablement.
You’ll be responsible for:
Developing and maintaining the company’s highly distributed, high-performance systems.
Building and supporting resilient microservices applications, encompassing the full development lifecycles.
Contributing to system and application architecture and produce detailed design and maintenance documentations.
Supporting the operations group in application problem analysis and resolution.
Participating in rotating on-call support when required.
You bring:
A University degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years software development experience.
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity. Experience with REST API development and microservices architecture
Experience in Java application development using frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
Experience in database design and development using relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Experience in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
Experience in containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS.
Experience in application security such as authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices
Experience in caching solutions like Redis and Hazelcast.
Experience with event-driven and messaging-based architectures.
Experience developing high-throughput, low latency systems is highly valued.
Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular.
Experience working in agile development environments and contributing to the full software delivery lifecycle.
What We’re Offering:
The hiring range for this position is $120,000-$150,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
