ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our cybersecurity team building the Aurora Agent — a next-generation malware detection and analysis platform. We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer who loves low-level programming, binary file formats, and building fast, reliable systems that detect real-world threats.
What You’ll Do:
Build and maintain file parsers for executables, mobile apps, documents, and archives
Integrate parsers with ML-powered malware detection pipelines
Optimize performance and memory efficiency in a high-throughput engine
Modernize our legacy C# codebase and contribute to our Rust-based engine
Implement and maintain comprehensive automated tests
Participate in architecture discussions, reviews, and debugging complex parsing issues
ABOUT YOU
5+ years in an OO language
Experience with Rust (or strong interest in learning it)
Familiarity with Rust fundamentals (ownership, error handling, traits)
Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and large-scale systems
Familiarity with multithreading, concurrency, and OS-level programming
Experience working with binary formats or low-level code
Solid grasp of Git and testing best practices
NICE TO HAVE
Background in cybersecurity, reverse engineering, or binary analysis
Familiarity with C++, FFI
Familiarity with ML pipelines or distributed systems
Linux/Unix development experience
TECH STACK
Languages: Rust, C# (.NET), Python
Build Tools: Bazel, Cargo, Git
Environment: Windows, Linux, VS Code, DevContainers, Docker
