Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Develop microservices which can scale on its own and can communicate with other services. Handling Big Data and Highly performing complex DB Queries.
  • Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices, coding standards, and performing regular code reviews to ensure consistency and quality across the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional or developers architects and product managers to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of our systems to ensure high availability and reliability, automating deployment and configuration processes to streamline operations.
  • Lead and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability in all development projects.
  • Mentor and support junior developers by providing technical guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the development team.

Senior Software Developer, Big Data- Bengaluru (Hybrid)

Brambles is looking to extend market leadership and has created of an IOT division called BXB Digital.  By tapping into the Internet of Things we are looking to transform the supply chain industry by bringing digital intelligence to the physical assets the company owns globally.

 

Position Purpose

We seek an experienced Software Developer to join our young and rapidly growing team of Brambles Digital. You are going to work with highly qualified and passionate engineers who are driven to see the impact of their work making a difference. You will be responsible for delivering highly scalable, consistent and reliable engineering product. If you are passionate about learning then you will get chance to learn and innovate Micro-service architecture, IOT solutions, big data Engineering and Enterprise applications

 

Major/Key Accountabilities

         Selecting which frameworks to use for the application development and implementing the features required.

         Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes

         Brainstorm new ideas, features, and applications to be built on Platform and take initiative to prototype Proof-of-Concept solutions

         Evaluate potential latest open-source and commercial technologies to meet growing feature demands on the platform, and be ready to defend technical recommendations with quantifiable arguments

         Design and build highly reliable, available and scalable services.

         Build microservices which can scale on its own and can communicate with other services.

         Complete ownership of Services, Technical deliverables and execute in an exemplary way.

         Documenting the code, functionality description for end user, Unit Testing and Targeted Deliveries

 

Experience/  Skills and Knowledge:

         4-6+ years of Experience

         Very strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis

         Experience designing and building highly-scaled systems including web services,  microservices.

         Experience on at least one of application frameworks like: Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Flask and one automated build deployment like: Maven, Jenkins etc.

         Thorough understanding of  concurrency, asynchronous architectures

         Experience working in an agile software development organization

         Proficiency in high-performance, multi-threaded programming

         Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL echosystem

         Experience with MVC, Distributed, Microservice systems architecture

         Experience with two or more of Java, Python, Scala

         Proven ability to effectively drive cross-team solutions that may have complex dependencies

         Knowledge of Bigdata Technologies is a plus.
