Key Responsibilities
- Define electrical validation strategies for IO interfaces to optimize analog performance and achieve production targets.
- Validate circuit analog performance, signal integrity compliance, and system-level margins to ensure product stability and industry-standard specifications.
- Conduct multidisciplinary research in design, development, testing, validation, and utilization of IO and mixed-signal architectures.
- Develop validation procedures, infrastructure, and systems margin validation designs.
- Analyze customer returns to drive yield improvement and test escape closures.
- Perform root cause analysis and debug electrical issues to resolve functional and triage failures.
- Test interactions between electrical design features using validation infrastructure.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, and pre-silicon validation teams to ensure DFT and DFM capabilities for IO architecture implementations.
- Prepare validation specifications, evaluate IP, and generate detailed test reports.
- Ensure products conform to quality standards and technical specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related specialized field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 8 years with a Master's, or 6 years with a PhD.
- Proficiency in analog and mixed-signal testing, hardware validation and debug, and validation strategy development.
- Strong expertise in electrical validation and debug processes, signal delivery design and evaluation, and debugging techniques.
- Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals, equalization techniques, and validation protocols.
- Experience with Python programming for validation-related tasks.
- Knowledge of post-silicon validation and debug flows, signal and power integrity, and test content development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to solve complex problems, execute disciplined processes, and conduct thorough root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with CPU architecture fundamentals and I/O validation and debug techniques.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in validation planning, protocol design, and delivering high-impact solutions.
