Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Site Specialist with hands-on experience in microbiological techniques to support R&D microbiology activities in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This position Is based at customer’s site and is responsible for performing day-to-day routine and non-routine laboratory testing, assisting with technical activities and maintaining laboratory cleanliness and compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong foundation in microbiology methods, demonstrate precision in laboratory procedures and possess strong data analysis capabilities to ensure high quality results.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing as part of R&D studies.
  • Preparation of media, perform sample plating, incubation and colony enumeration.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning accurately.
  • Document results in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and upload data into the LIMS system (NEXUS).
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and manage lab supplies to ensure a well-organized and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to all site-specific safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Communicate any issues or abnormalities to R&D personnel and team leaders immediately.

 

Qualifications and Criteria

  • Diploma or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, encouraging a culture of inclusion and excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail, meticulous and systematic.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from a diverse group of backgrounds and levels both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
