About you and this role
Identifies and resolves potential conflicts, constraints, or deviations in the scheduling plan to meet customer, unit, function or business needs. Initial point of contact for carriers (all Modes of Transportation (MOT) - Road, Rail & Marine) to inform them of scheduling plan exceptions. Utilizes Material Flow Work Process knowledge to develop and optimize the scheduling plan and proactively resolve any deviations and/or conflicts from the normal shipment process. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight typically only on complex new assignments. Provides solutions to analytical or scientific problems in situations that are atypical or occur infrequently based on existing precedents or procedures. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
In this role, you will develop full proficiency in a range of technical processes and procedures through job-related training and on-the-job experience. You will need to be able to apply knowledge of technical processes and procedures to perform a range of work assignments. You need to understand how multiple teams coordinate efforts and resources to achieve objectives and be able to explain complex technical information to members of your own team and other teams.
It is your responsibility to provide solutions to operational or analytical problems using established procedures and practices. You will serve as informal resource on analytical, scientific method, or operational processes for less experienced team members. Your performance impacts the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of your own work and your team’s work. You will receive supervision on new complex assignments.

Required education: associate technical or administrative degree
Experience: 5+ years in a supply chain or logistics environment.
The critical competencies required for success are: ability to work independently and take timely initiative to solve urgencies, strong communication and networking skills, act upon safety requirements, understanding customer needs, team work, taking initiative, time management, technical proficiency in use of computer applications and Dow policies and procedures.
